The Hoodlums

Have you heard about paint ball game before? Basically it’s a game played using air powered guns (marker) powered with CO2 or compressed air that shoot small round balls of paint (pellets). It is played between two teams with one or more players per side. Players will try to eliminate the opponents by firing pellets from their marker. Getting hit may leave a blue-black mark or welt but I heard it doesn’t usually hurt that much (yeah, right!!) In Sabah, I know there are only two paint ball fields there. Both are in Penampang. The first field is located in Kg. Sugud (Kota Kinabalu Painball Centre) and the other field is in Kg. Tanaki (Penampang Paintball Point). I’ve been to both fields because my hubby is a paintballer. In fact, he’s an addict to this game. He even has a team, the Hoodlums comprising of 7 paintballers and are going for a paintball tournament division 3 in KL come Dec 6th – 11th. Wow…I’m getting excited because they are the first team and may be the only team from Borneo to compete in the tournament. Of course, I’m going to be there too, to give support and cheers to my hubby and the team:-D

Currently, the Hoodlums are training hard, I think a Top 5 position in the tournament is upon reach! So, give all your support to the first paint ball team from Borneo, the Hoodlums:-D

home, at last…

Recently, I got an e-mail from one of my friend, Imelda. She told me that she will be moving to KK soon as she was offered a job in Sepanggar starting from the 1st Dec. Wow, I’m so happy for her because she’d been away from KK for almost 11 years. Good decision, Mel!

I wish her all the best with her new job and as for me, I’m keeping my finger crossed that my transfer to Sabah will be approved soon. I wanna go home too…

pissed off

Don’t you hate it, a decision was made, without you knowing about it, and that decision involves you..and your money? And the time when you want to say NO, you can’t because everything was 100% done and they’re just waiting for the money? In this case, MY money!

Damn I was furious, pissed off, girigitan…u name it all, but the only thing that kept myself from uttering more ugly sinister words was these people are my relatives. I have to respect their feelings because they are older but certainly not wiser than me. I have to understand that they don’t bring home much from their monthly income. They said it was a decision for the better…ooo yeah, I think that decision was a crap and wasting my precious money!
I told one of them, “Bah, apa lagi sia mau cakap if sudah buat. Terpaksa lah sia bayar. Tapi please ahh, lain kali tanya sia dulu baru buat decision”. Then, I hung up the phone.

These people have successfully spoil my day.

midnite movie

The worst thing about watching a horror/triller/terrifying movie around mid-nite is when you are trying to get your sleep, you can’t because your mind keeps on producing the images from the movie scene.

It happened to me last night.

I went back around 2am from TGV, Sunway Pyramid after watching 1408 with my friend. The movie to me was very creepy. It made me screamed on many parts of the scenes…go and watch it, you’ll understand what I mean..hehe

When I reached home, my room mate was not home yet. Damn! I was alone in my room and tried to get my sleep. My eyes were heavy and I was tired but everytime I was about to close my eyes, the images of Mike Enslin in the room 1408, alone and trapped, being tortured by the ghosts, demons or whatever in 1408 kept playing in my mind. And the stupid song (it was constantly played automatically on the radio where Enslin was trapped) We’ve only just begun…to live…kept on playing to my ears. Damn!

I don’t know what was the time when I finally fall asleep…:-(

going smooth

It’s Friday again. Yippee!! I love Fridays, it always brings out the enthusiasm in me. Once in every month, Fridays will be my traveling day as I travel from Klang-LCC terminal-Kota Kinabalu. Yes, I go back to my home town quite frequently, the least is once a month. Thank God for Air Asia, hail to Mr Tony Fernandez! I heart him! Well, this week is not my traveling day as I just went back from my kampung last week. I’m gonna use this Friday to finish up my work related to my wedding. I hope I can finish editing my wedding church booklet as my dad had been asking me to buck up coz he needs to bring the book for printing. Hehe…tu lah Joyce last minute baru mau buat kerja.

Ohh yes, talking about my wedding prep, it’s going on smoothly. Being far from my hometown, it’s difficult for me to do the preparation alone. But, I need not worry much because I can rely on my parents, bro and sis, uncles, aunts, cousins and even friends to help manage my wedding. They’ve been very very very helpful. I think most of the stuff about my wedding had been done. Let’s see…

Ohh…I wish I can repay them for their contributions and hard work. As for my part, I just have to ensure everything about me, the groom, the maid of honor, the best man, my 4 bride’s maids and hubby’s 4 groomsmen are ready for the Day. I pray to God that everything will be fine. It’s less than a month before the Big Day:-)

 

 

unproductive day

Like the gloomy weather in Klang, I had an unproductive day. Woke up at 6am and grabbed my hand-phone to give my hubby a call so that he could get ready for his ground handling work in Labuan. Reached school about 6:45a.m and had my breakfast there. Entered 2 classes and right after that, headed to the office where I laid my lazy bum there. I don’t know why, I was tired and feeling sleepy most of the time. After work, went home straight and slept until 4:30pm. If it wasn’t my house-mate, I might still be sleeping for another hour. She asked me whether I wanna go out shopping with her. I said no, I rather stayed at home coz I had enough shopping during the Raya Holiday. I cooked my lunch cum dinner and enjoyed my food alone. Pheew, what a boring day!

 

 

On carb diet

I’m officially on carb diet (again…:-)I thought I’d said this last few months..hehe) after my last appointment with my gynae.

I went to see Dr. BE, my gynae in my hometown last week. I usually go for scan once a year just to check out my medical condition. The nurse on duty took my weight, height and BP before I went to see Dr. BE for my scan. Everything was fine, until she suddenly pinched my buldging tummy.

gynae : You see dear, you’ve gained weight already!

me : Huh?

gynae : Didn’t you realize, your weight was 42kg last year and now you are 48kg. You should go for exercise, dancing or yoga. YOU ARE FAT!!

me : I’m FAT??? I thought this is my ideal weight, doc?

gynae : No, you should shed some three kilos…that would be your ideal weight. Go for exercise and eat more veggies.

Alamak, so said the doctor, I’m fat…whoaa…scary! I hope I can shed at least 1 kg before my wedding. So, please don’t temp me with fattening food these few weeks ya..hehe.

Yay!!

I was extremely very happy after the final fitting of my tailor-made wedding gown…I almost cried looking at it. Simply beautiful and I love every details of it. I’m a happy November bride!!!
